Mat Danks
Mat is a partner in DCPR and has spent more than a decade working in media, first training and qualifying as a journalist at the Dudley News and County Express before moving into public relations.
More than five years working with the diverse and varied portfolio of business and regeneration activity at Advantage West Midlands has provided an insight into not only the breadth of the media but also the workings of the public sector.

Russ Cockburn
Russ started life as a business journalist for a small publisher in the West Midlands, before being head-hunted to the position of Business Editor at Midlands Business Magazine, the first regional title to be sold in WH Smiths.

After five years interviewing some of the leading entrepreneurs in the world, he made the move to public relations, helping to grow HCL Marketing and Communications into one of the region’s fastest growing and most experienced agencies. In that time, Russ has built up an unrivalled bank of media contacts and has worked with Advantage West Midlands, Accelerate, Mustard.uk.com, Crest Nicholson, InStaffs, Shell LPG and the Learning and Skills Council.

Most recently, he has been responsible for driving the public relations activity for Business Link in the West Midlands.
